Our Progress Report for 2022 shows once again: 100% certified palm oil on the German market is possible! Through their ambitious self-commitment, FONAP members are the frontrunners on the way there.
Ambitious self-commitment
The members of the Forum for Sustainable Palm Oil have made a public self-commitment: they use exclusively certified sustainable palm oil, palm kernel oil and their derivatives and fractions in their products. They also pursue demanding additional criteria such as promoting biodiversity and supporting small-scale producers.
Targets almost fully met
In 2022, too, the members almost fully met their self-commitment: 98.6% of the palm oil volumes they used in their products were certified in the correct supply chain options. The remaining volumes were also almost fully certified, just not in the correct supply chain options.
In addition, in 2022 the members also spoke with their suppliers about the additional criteria and other sustainability aspects.

To make transparent where FONAP and its members stand on sustainability, we have also published a detailed Progress Report for 2022. It contains precise data on FONAP’s target achievement and reports from the individual members on their steps towards more sustainable palm oil supply chains.
