Membership categories in FONAP
FONAP has three membership categories: full members, supporters and supporting members.
Full members meet the public voluntary commitment as well as the additional criteria. Due to new legislation, the forum is currently discussing a revision of our voluntary commitment and the additional criteria. The following can apply for membership:
Industrial and trading companies, individual companies, organisations that produce and use palm oil, palm kernel oil or corresponding derivatives in products, as well as their associations;
Non-governmental organisations, trade unions, churches, standard-setting organisations, scientific institutions, as well as all institutions not listed here that have a demonstrable interest in certified palm oil and palm kernel oil or corresponding derivatives
Companies that work exclusively in the production, further processing and trade of oleo-derivatives or fractions can become supporters. As a supporter, you agree with FONAP’s goals and provide significant support to the association in achieving them. You commit to this in the supporters’ voluntary commitment.
Supporting members provide financial support for individual FONAP activities. Their rights and obligations are regulated here. Currently, supporting memberships are only possible to support the member project.
